Chemical Maching Group is able to etch virtually any type of metal, with the exclusion of gold, platinum, palladium, tungsten and moyibdenum and metals with a high resistance to acids. The tolerance for the technology is as low as ±0,015 mm, with a range of engraveable thickness ranging from 0,02 mm a 2,00 mm.
Furthermore, low tooling costs make the technology highly cost effective, particularly on low and medium volumes.
Compared to traditional mechanical processes, photochemical etching avoids stressing or deforming metal. This allows to keep intact the molecular proprieties of the material, with the benefit of vastly superior precision in the engraving. This makes photochemical etching particularly suited to components requiring high precision or refined aesthetics.

The Advantages of Photochemical Etching
The flexibility of the technology allows to produce objects of virtually any shape or dimension, in a wide range of of materials and profiles, starting from any image sup-plied by the client.
Photochemical etching / milling is a sophisticated technology, dedicated to the manufacturing of metal objects and components of high complexity, and requiring minimal dimensio- nal tolerances. This process is based on the controlled removal of metal through means of combined chemical-physical action.
